Sisterbrothers are NEVER Tardy to the Party

2010 has been good to us. I mean, tricky and a touch unpredictable at times, but mostly ... great. That said, I think we are collectively excited to bid adieu to 2010 and welcome in the new year. Hello 2011, you look ravishing tonight!

For this reason and others of the top secret sort, we got together this week to try the new year on for size.

Man, I love these folks!

Texas Style Nuptials by Sister Allison

You don't have to be from here to appreciate the special way we Texans embrace our culture. Sometimes rather than working to change the minds of the rest of the country who still view us as backwards cowboys in ten gallon hats, we dig our heels in loudly declare our Texas pride. Enter Sara Rice (very Texan) and her new husband Luis Martinez (newly Texan). The two celebrated their love in a guerilla ceremony under the outstretched arms of no other than Big Tex. Allison captured the magic.

Sister Allison is part of a group show on Friday. All showcased images have been shot with the one and only iPhone. Come out and see how this great cast of photographers uses this new medium as a real and effective tool.

 

You didn't think there was only one Sartorialist, did you?

Chris is not the only Sisterbrother who's work graced the pages of this month's issue of F!D Luxe. Allison V. Smith photographed Dallas' own sartorialist, Salvador Martinez. Very dapper indeed.

Sister Allison V. Smith was a judge last month for a high school photography competition called Retail As Art. [read more here.] Now the winners are going to be exhibited at Design within Reach TONIGHT!
